Hilti’s Nuron platform has been the quiet outlier in cordless — expensive, closed, and aimed squarely at contractors who buy service contracts rather than tools. The updated circular saw does not change that positioning, but it does move the performance bar.
Cut depth is up to 70 mm at 90 degrees, which brings it in line with the best corded saws and clears 3× 22 mm sheet stock in a single pass.
The more interesting change is at the dust port. The redesigned shroud captures a claimed 92% of airborne dust when paired with Hilti’s extractor. In indoor fit-out work with a dust spec, that number decides whether a tool is usable at all.
Pricing remains the obstacle. This is a saw that costs roughly three times its nearest competitor, and it makes sense only inside Hilti’s fleet management model.
