The Full Review
Piece count is the most misleading number in tool marketing. A 200-piece kit is usually 150 driver bits you will never touch. This 45-piece set is refreshingly honest about what it contains.
The sockets are the reason to buy it. Chrome vanadium rather than the chrome-plated carbon steel that is standard at this price, and the difference shows the first time you lean on a seized bolt.
The 72-tooth ratchet deserves mention because 5° of swing arc is what makes a ratchet usable in a stud bay. Cheaper kits ship 45-tooth mechanisms that need 8° and are miserable in tight work.
The pliers are the compromise. The jaws are soft enough that they marked after moderate use. Everything else in the case has held up through six months of workshop duty.
